Distressed Alder Nightstand

Designed for a Colorado mountain home, this solid alder dresser showcases the artistry and craftsmanship that define 1879 Design Co.

Each drawer front is adorned with hand-carved leaf onlays, giving the piece a unique, nature-inspired character. The curved drawer fronts are precision-built with dovetail joinery, ensuring strength and durability, while shop-cut moulding accents add architectural detail that echoes traditional woodworking methods. To complement the home’s historic setting, the dresser was finished with a hand-applied distressed patina, highlighting the depth of the alder’s grain and blending seamlessly with its surroundings.
