This gardening shed project by 1879 Design Co. was built to embody our signature balance of historic inspiration and modern living. From custom woodwork to energy-efficient systems, every detail reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and thoughtful design tailored to the homeowners’ lifestyle.

As part of the build, we incorporated a modern garden shed kit by SolidBuild—a stylish and versatile addition that enhances the outdoor living space. Crafted from premium solid wood with double Tongue & Groove boards, this kit met all of the homeowners’ must-haves. Its sleek contemporary profile, 4-foot canopy overhang, and natural wood finish make it ideal as a garden hideaway and home office. To finish the project, we build a custom wraparound porch with premium solid cedar perfect for Colorado’s harsh seasonal weather. We landscaped the area with weed fabric topped with rock for a clean, low maintenance look and function.
